Our Story

Originally branded PPE ID, Last Line Defense Security Solutions was born out of our work with PPE Kids—a nonprofit organization we co-founded to train and equip communities to prevent child sexual abuse.

As PPE Kids grew, we discovered a frustrating reality:
Most organizations wanted to protect children—they just didn’t know how.

They lacked access to affordable, thorough background checks.
They didn’t know what to look for in a report.
They weren’t keeping records that would stand up to an audit.
Some simply didn’t run checks at all.

So we created Last Line Defense Security Solutions to fill the gap.

Robert has over 20 years of leadership experience in compliance-driven environments, including large healthcare systems and nonprofit organizations. A veteran of the U.S. Army Infantry and co-founder of PPE Kids, he brings integrity, operational precision, and a mission-first mindset to every aspect of Last Line Defense Security Solutions.
